Orphans

You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.

He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.

When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow.

To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may oppress no more.

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation.

The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

Do not remove the ancient landmark, nor enter the fields of the fatherless.

Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.

They have grown fat, they are sleek; yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked; they do not plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless; yet they prosper, and the right of the needy they do not defend.

Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let your widows trust in Me.

We have become orphans and waifs, our mothers are like widows.

Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart against his brother.

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
